Our Story
We’ve made it here to marriage, and you made it to our little corner of the internet!
If you're reading this, you’re part of our story too - so before we get started, we want to thank you. It means so much to the both of us that you’re here.
Looking back on the timeline of our relationship, from first meeting in 2019 to now planning the rest of our lives together, we can clearly see how present God has been in our story, especially in the moments we didn’t fully understand at the time. Let’s take a stroll down memory lane…
We first met January 19, 2019 at a cheer competition in Chattanooga. We were both coaching youth all-star teams and unknowingly happened to be competing in the same division. At the end of the first day of the competition, we found ourselves sitting at the same table in the coaches’ room. Now I, Annagail, can’t quite remember how that conversation went - if you ask Hunter, he’d probably say it was a really nice flirty convo just getting to know each other. But, if you asked me, I’d say there’s a 90% chance I was just trying to get under the competitor’s skin to get him off his game and determine the most efficient method to outscoring his difficulty. But, no matter how it truly went, that conversation became the start of everything. (And of course my team won that weekend - just saying!)
Before long, we became so much more than cheer rivals. We were each other’s person, puzzle pieces that just fit - we completed each other. That cheer season turned into a season of life that was filled with so many special memories, laughter, and adventure.
Now as some of you may know, our story isn’t a traditional one. But it is our own. Life eventually took us in different directions for a time, but looking back, we can see that it was a season when God was growing and teaching us individually. Last year, our paths crossed once again in a way that felt steady, natural, and right. We were both in a place where we were ready for the kind of relationship we had always hoped for, and had always wanted for and with each other.
Our relationship sits on a firm foundation of love, loyalty, joy, compassion, hope, and passion. We thank God for our journey, and for where it's led us to now. Hunter is my person, and I am his. We cannot wait for this next chapter, and we are so grateful for such an encouraging circle around us.
Thank you, Jesus, for Your grace, mercy, and love. Thank you to our friends and family who have supported us along the way, from the very beginning and throughout the years.
